Patrick has significant experience with Mechanical Engineering design, fabrication and installation of equipment. Also in the mining, oil and gas and steel industries, requiring specialist understanding of material handling, machining, fabrication and manufacturing processes.
Patrick commenced working with Deacon Engineers in 2022 as a Mechanical Engineer having spent five years at Bossong Engineering. Patrick’s time at Bossong Engineering was largely spent working as a Mechanical Engineer/Designer, where he gained a thorough understanding of sheet metal fabrication, weldments, NDT, material handling, corrosion control, power transmission, heavy industrial equipment, hoppers, rotables, piping, site infrastructure, and installations and commissioning.
Patrick also has experience with 3D scanning using handheld and terrestrial scanners such as Faro, Leica and Hyperscan. He has used SCENE, Cyclone 360 and QuickSurface for processing and management of scan data and CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD for modelling and drafting.
