Challenge: Client was operating 3 composters and required an assessment of the remaining life of the composters, taking into account the shell loss due to wear and corrosion.
Services: FEA, Fatigue Analysis, Strain Gauging
Solution: The composters were strain gauged to determine the load profile which was used in the fatigue life calculations. The remaining fatigue life was determined and highly stressed areas were identified for ongoing monitoring.
